Kitchen Porter / General Assistant work consist of:
- Maintaining the kitchen and BOH areas clear.
- Ensure the area runs smoothly by storing appliances and equipment in the correct areas.
- Working areas are clean, tidy, hygenic and safe so chefs can prepare and cook food e.g. ensuring all working spaces have bins and rubbish cleared when necessary.
- This may include washing some kitchen equipment like pots, service cutlery and serving dishes required by chefs when necessary.
- Working with dish washers and industrial dish washers.
