Responsibilities & Duties
Equipment Management: Oversee, pack, and store the onsite equipment, by splitting and packing accordingly to supplier, whether it’s hired kit or part of client kit.
Event Support: Assist the Event Manager and/or Back of house (BOH) manager in maintaining event operations, clearing stations and support/assist beverage, food and kitchen teams when necessary.
Supervision: Manage new and other casual staff, providing guidance on proper procedures, expectations and general event systems to prevent any accidents and/or mistakes.
Uniform and Appearance: Adhere to the dress code – black shoes/trainers (if you don’t own steel-toe cap boots), a smart all black polo shirt / t-shirt and black combat trousers. Maintain a neat and professional appearance with hair tidied neatly back and any facial hair well-groomed. Hats, coats and jumpers are allowed but must be ALL black (no large / visible logos e.g. Nike, Adidas etc); these items must be removed at the venue unless provided and allowed by the company/client.
Drugs and Alcohol: Follow the company policy outlined in your contract regarding the use of drugs and alcohol. Report the use of any prescription or over-the-counter medications as necessary. Managers and supervisors will ensure no one unfit through drink or drugs drives any vehicle.
Punctuality and Attendance:
- You are expected to arrive 15 minutes BEFORE your shift start time, this is to ensure you have:
- 1) Arrived on time, at the right venue entrance point, and have contacted your client contact in your job notes.
- 2) Passed all required and mandatory venue / client security measures before entering.
- 3) Ensure you are ready to work, in your work uniform, bag stored away appropriately and you are READY to work at your designated start shift time stated on the app (not 5 minutes later..)
Taxis: For shifts starting at 6 am or finishing after 11:30 pm, you are entitled to a £25 taxi allowance, which will be refunded upon receipt. Please plan your journeys in advance to ensure reliable transportation.
